Description

Servant leadership and self-serving leadership are vastly different. Although it may seem that servant leadership would be most beneficial for any group to reach its goals, this style of leadership is rare. Servant leadership has been a buzzword for some time, but it appears that many leaders at all levels of companies and organizations do not embody it. How different would the world be if servant leadership were the norm? Leadership style is a choice and preference by each individual. Choosing to be a servant leader requires much more than strategies, tactics, and mastering the political game. It requires that we continuously face the parts of ourselves that are uncomfortable. For only then can we deeply and compassionately understand the needs of the people we are responsible for leading.
