In this episode, we have the pleasure of having Remy Wallace share his thoughts on the intersection of acting and authenticity. He grew up in Philadelphia and lived in NY, Los Angeles, and now in Charlotte, NC. Early in his professional career, he chose to quit a promising corporate job in the sports industry to pursue acting and filmmaking. He credits that decision to the many miracles that have taken place since. He and his wife, Natalie, are now full-time parents, partners, and entrepreneurs with huge dreams and aspirations to live a less traditional path while making a massive global impact.
Acting is about being believable
You bring a part of your own self into every role
How real do we get with our kids?
Practicing empathy every day
Knowing when you’re not being authentic in real life
Emotions and releasing them appropriately
Balancing micro and macro authenticity
We all want to be authentic AND we’re all acting
When being authentic isn’t worth it
How you do things vs. what you do is important
While acting on stage, there are no repercussions to letting loose
Be honest and bold about who you are
