Comic writer Frank Martin returns to the show this week to first help us recall our favorite space adventures from throughout pop culture in our Retro Roundtable! Then we turn our attention to Frank to discuss his new comic Grimm Space #1, which is currently running on Kickstarter until November 19th. This first issue of Grimm Space is a 28 page one shot that re-tells Jack and the Beanstalk with Easter-eggs from classics like Alien and Star Wars. But the story is also filled with references for other fairy tale characters such as Pinocchio, the Big Bad Wolf, and Rumpelstiltskin. We hope to use this one-shot to jumpstart an entire universe (pun intended) of re-imagined stories that pay homage to other sci-fi classics. Don’t miss your chance to back this project!
