The guys from Dawgman.com got the chance to sit down and dive into the latest two commitments for the University of Washington -- tailback Sam Adams and linebacker Cooper McDonald -- and look at how each impacts the 2019 recruiting class as well as where they fit into the roster.
The commitment of McDonald wasn't a surprise as he'd been leaning the Huskies way, but what needs to be figured out is how he fits into the program once he arrives next summer. When you watch his film, McDonald plays almost exclusively on the edge for his team, but the Huskies want him to play inside.
Adams is a local four-star recruit who fills a need at tailback and he's a bigger back with the frame to carry 215 or 220 pounds by the time he sees the field.
Scott and Chris opine on why the Huskies decided to move toward bigger backs and whether or not they'll be able to find more in the coming years.
They also focus on the added emphasis in Texas as the Husky coaches prioritize the Lonestar State which is rich in football talent, but also a hotbed for schools from the Big 12, the Big 10 and the SEC.
Last, but certainly not least, Scott gives his own ideas on which players could wind up Huskies before the start of the season on August 31st.
