The BYE week came at a great time for the Washington Huskies as they rest up and get some of their players back to health before the biggest game ever in the history of the Oregon-Washington rivalry coming up a week from today.
The guys from Dawgman.com - Kim Grinolds, Chris Fetters, and Scott Eklund - wanted to make sure Washington fans had some pregame listening even when there isn't a Washington game this weekend. And the main reason is that there was still a ton of news to talk about, starting with Thursday's Big Ten Conference schedule release.
The conference announced who each team was going to play - home and away - for the next five seasons, so Washington fans can start prepping for their trip to Happy Valley next season or to Camp Randall in 2025.
With nine Big Ten games for each schedule, that leaves three non-conference games. Will the Apple Cup take one of those spots on a yearly basis? Kim and Chris hash out the options, including playing it as a neutral site game at Lumen Field.
After a quick break, the talk turns to recruiting, and Scott talks a little bit about the recent news that Washington 2024 EDGE target Keona Wilhite de-committed from Arizona this week. He also provides some first-hand analysis of 2024 O'Dea RB target Jason Brown after having seen him play the weekend before.
And you would think the Oregon-Washington game would take up enough oxygen on Montlake this coming week, but we can't forget about the upcoming men's and women's basketball media days in Las Vegas starting Tuesday. So the Dawgman guys will be performing some double duty as hoops starts to heat up.
