The guys from Dawgman.com - Kim Grinolds and Chris Fetters - spent Tuesday morning catching up on all the UW football, basketball and recruiting news, and there was a lot to go over.
First they talked about the commitment of USC transfer J'Raan Brooks to UW Hoops and how he will impact the roster after sitting out this next year per transfer rules. Chris spoke this past weekend with former UW forward Jamaal Williams, who coached Brooks at Garfield. Williams also coached up three incoming freshmen during their time on Seattle Rotary's U17 team - Jaden McDaniels, RaeQuan Battle and Marcus Tsohonis, and Fetters gave some insight into those players from Williams's point of view.
Next was a recap of what Grinolds and Fetters saw this past Sunday at Husky Stadium, as UW Football put on their annual Passing Camp tournament. The tournament was won by Graham-Kapowsin, their second big 7-7 tournament win in as many weeks. Each took turns talking about the players that impressed them most.
Next, they briefly chatted about UW's impending move from Nike to Adidas. The move will be made official on July 1st.
Last, they answered some submitted questions, mostly about Washington's big official visit group this past weekend, why they didn't get any verbal commitments, and what the Huskies need to do to combat negative recruiting.
