In this week's episode, I welcome Dr. Natashia Robbins. Natashia is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Coach. She obtained her Master’s and Ph.D. from Purdue University and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Natashia's research and clinical experience over 16 years has centred around Attachment and Nervous System Regulation.
In recent years, her focus has broadened to include Somatic Attachment Therapy and Internal Family Systems frameworks. She is also a trained yoga instructor and breathwork facilitator. Natashia currently owns a private practice where she provides therapy and coaching services for clients in-office and virtually online.
In this episode, Natashia and I discuss purpose and why it is crucial to living our lives with purpose. We discuss how it can take us forever to lean into our purpose, and sometimes our limiting beliefs and doubts prevent us from pursuing what we are meant to do. Natashia also talks about the recent and sudden passing of her husband and how that further emphasized her belief in herself and her purpose in life.
