It's the last show of the year, the guys pull out their gifts, Eddie's gonna watch Jordan sing, and UFC 282 ended with controversy and disappointment. Paddy Pimblett was gifted a decision and there is STILL no light heavyweight champ. Judging didn't ruin Bellator 289, though (but not for lack of trying). Raufeon Stots defeated Danny Sabatello, Liz Carmouche defended her title and left no doubt, and Patchy Mix choked out Magomed Magomedov. In boxing, Bud Crawford got a KO, Teofimo Lopez squeaked-out a split decision, Manny Pacquiao beat up a YouTuber, and Monster Inoue retained his undisputed bantamweight title.
In What's Up With That, the guys cover a big March 2023 in the UFC that includes trips to London & San Antonio, the retirement of Shogun Rua, and BKFC free agency.
The UFC holds their last card of the year Saturday, with Jared Cannonier taking on Sean Strickland in the main event of what could turn into a pretty good card. Bellator & RIZIN meet on New Year's Eve to close-out the year, featuring Patricio Pitbull, AJ McKee, Juan Archuleta, Kyoji Horiguchi, and John Dodson. Not much big boxing before the guys come back, but Gervonta Davis faces Hector Garcia in the first week of January.
