Eric Proos is a Detroit area native, who is a private practice attorney in Los Angeles, with a focus on business transactions and litigation, and representing individuals in divorces and other legal needs.
He received a B.S., cum laude, in political science, with a double minor in economics and legal studies on a partial academic scholarship from Central Michigan University. Eric then went on to attend the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During that time, he advised on strategy and theme for the campaign of a Michigan State Representative.
While studying for the California Bar Exam, Eric was hired as a Post J.D. law clerk at a plaintiff’s securities law firm. After successfully passing the California State Bar Exam on the first attempt, he began volunteering at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program family law clinic, and the San Diego County Corporation Counsel where he advised the County regarding numerous matters ranging from premise liability, to workers’ compensation issues.
Since branching off on his own in 2016, Eric has continued to represent companies with incorporation matters, litigation matters against other businesses, contract drafting, and other business/individual type representation.
