Description

Writer, Lyricist, Spoken-Word Artist, Author and Educator - Taino Brigs - spends an hour of his valuable time at the Radio Free Brooklyn studio with host of The Junk and Jam Hour Christopher Albert to discuss his inspirations, his outstanding body of work and his everyday life goal of helping to shape the future.
More specifically, Taino talks about the craft and art of spoken-word, his challenges and successes of mastering that craft, and the joy of delivering masterful - and enlightening - performances. He talks about the success of his first published work - 'Give My Regards' - a collection of some of his most prolific pieces and short stories, which includes the topics of gun violence and the value of his Puerto Rican heritage and culture.
Other than pursuing his Masters, Taino also talks about his unyielding commitment to being a father of two sons, how they have changed him for the better, and how he has translated that into a career as a children's educator. Taino adamantly makes it a point to conclude the interview with the importance of considering to stop using the word 'Hate' in our vocabulary.
