- The largest manhunt in Minnesota state history comes to a close when the alleged shooter peacefully surrendered last night. The man accused of assassinating a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband has been arrested.

- Protesters have been gathering in San Francisco outside of a federal office building, pushing back against the immigration crackdown. Demonstrators also gathered in San Jose, a show of support for organizers in Los Angeles.

- One person was shot and killed in Salt Lake City at the "No Kings" protest.

- Local wildlife experts are trying to figure out the reason behind the dead whales on Bay Area beaches. Another one washed ashore on Saturday, making a total of two from the weekend.

- A Caltrain construction project in San Jose will suspend Caltrain services to the Tamien station for eight months. Free buses will be available to get around the closure.
