KTVU's Dave Clark hosts today's headlines:
- There's an investigation into a deadly shooting at an illegal nightclub operating after hours, in East Oakland. On Sunday morning around 4 AM, one person was shot, and later died at the scene.
- Investigators in Monterey County continue to search for the cause of a deadly plane crash. The three people aboard the small plane died Saturday night shortly after takeoff. The bodies have been identified and recovered.
- A Walnut Creek house fire last night left one person in the hospital. Everyone inside the house was able to get out. The fire was contained after about an hour.
- Mendocino firefighters made progress in putting out a brush fire that burned 300 acres. The fire is now 40% contained and no injuries have been reported.
- An agreement has been reached to avert a strike against the Safeway supermarket chain. Negotiations have been taking place since March, the union says the new agreement includes better pay, health benefits, and retirement pensions. A strike would've affected 240 stores.
- The US has reached a trade deal with the European Union. Under the agreement, the US will impose a 15% tariff on most goods including cars, while the EU will make investments in energy, and also increase purchases of military equipment. The deadline for other nations is this coming Friday.
