In 1938, the first woman to die in Ohio's electric chair was Anna Marie Hahn, a 32-year-old wife and mother who romanced old men in Cincinnati's German district, rob them, and kill them. She was convicted of one death, confessed to three others, but authorities suspect her of at least eight murders.
