Today’s guest isn’t your typical Life Coach.
After working in sales for two decades, he became a certified Life Coach in 2005. In a world filled with "woo-woo" life coaches, his opinionated and direct approach is refreshing and gets results.
Eight years later, he launched Coach the Life Coach because he had learned how to build a successful coaching practice and he was tired of watching new Life Coaches struggle to survive. He helps them build a coaching practice that is sustainable and profitable.
He has written over 1,500 self-development articles and is the author of 11 books, including “The Clarity Method: Tap Into What Motivates Your Clients, Your Colleagues, and You.”
Please join me in welcoming Tim Brownson.
In this episode we discuss:
his thoughts on leadership: “To me leadership is about integrity, doing the right thing when no one is looking. You can lead by coaching loudly or through a quiet determination.”
his experience in sales and how it shaped his views on solving problems and offering solutions instead of trying to “win” a customer.
how he describes his first couple of years of coaching as a blueprint for how to not start a coaching business.
how he balances writing and coaching and makes both a priority.
his understanding that he doesn’t take well to being confined by a structure and what he does instead.
his practices surrounding networking and the value he places on Facebook groups.
