As his older brother, the newly crowned King Edward, weakens with illness, Richard, Duke of Gloucester, lays out his plans to take the throne. He frames his brother Clarence for conspiring to kill Edward, then convinces Lady Anne, the widow of the previous King Henry, to marry him, even though he killed her husband and their son.
