This is Play That Rock'n'Roll's interview with Michael Jahnz, the founder/vocalist/frontman for Richrath Project 3:13. Richrath Project 3:13 is a band that honors and celebrates the late Gary Richrath, who was a songwriter and guitarist in REO Speedwagon. Michael was the vocalist for Gary's solo band starting in the late '80s, and more recently he has released a new album with this band called "L.A. Is Mine". In this interview, we discuss how Michael met and started working with Gary Richrath, their 1992 album "Only the Strong Survive", Gary’s songwriting process, the band’s new album “L.A. Is Mine”, and how they tackle the modern challenges that come with touring and promoting a new record.
