The Cowboys are 6-7 after another ugly loss, this time to the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football. It’s Dallas’ third straight defeat, but the Cowboys still have a viable path to the postseason.
The Cowboys are the favorites to claim the automatic playoff bid for winning the NFC East, which is a two-team race between Dallas and Philadelphia. As of Monday night, The New York Times’ NFL playoff prediction model gives Dallas a 61% chance of winning the division. After Philadelphia’s overtime win against the Giants on Monday, the Eagles jumped up to a 39% chance, according to the NYT model.
