We all know how important it is to have goals and make plans for how we want to live our lives. Have you thought about how you would want the ending of your life to be? Why would that be important and how does it enhance our ability to live more fully now?
These and many other questions are answered in this week's episode when I meet with the Spiritual Director of Empowered Endings, Elizabeth Uslander.
Elizabeth and her husband Bob Uslander, MD are on a mission to transform the experience of Life, at any stage in the face of illness and dying. They help individuals and their loved ones move beyond fear and discomfort when facing a serious illness or the end of life so they can live as full, present, and peaceful as possible, until their last breath.
Bob, who’s been practicing medicine for more than 30 years (22 of them in the Emergency Room), saw firsthand that the quality of most patients' end of lives was missing. As a result, he co-founded Empowered Endings, with his wife Elizabeth who’s the Spiritual director, to support people through their end of Life.
In this conversation, we discuss the significance of open and honest conversations about mortality and the value of how planning reduces stress and anxiety allowing freedom to live fully. It is an important conversation that will leave you uplifted and inspired to enjoy the full journey of life.
