This episode of Students of Mind is the beginning of a series of discussions regarding Black mental health. We decided that this was necessary in light of the devastating murders of several unarmed Black souls in the recent months and the movement and protests that have resulted. I want to use this unique space that I have created to emphasize that Black Lives Matter by having open conversations about black mental health. In this first episode of this series, we are joined by psychologist and activist Dr. Tyffani Mondford Dent who shares some general information about mental health in the Black community and how systemic racism impacts Black mental health.Follow Dr. Tyffani M Dent:Instagram and Twitter - @drtyffaniFollow Students of Mind:Instagram and Twitter - @studentsofmindResources:Readings:
