Michael speaks with Dr. Eric Tully about the book of Hosea.
"We, with Hosea and his listeners, also look forward to a time in the future when God sets all things right. But for Hosea, everything was in the future, and we live in a time where the eschatological future has already begun because Christ has already come."
A lot of times when we talk about idolatry we talk about the thing that we want...and I think one of the things that Hosea communicates is that the idolatry is not necessarily the thing that you want, it's the means by which you think you can get it.
"Idolatry is the things you're putting your trust in to get the things that you want."
