In episode 56 of Tigers in 20, lead writer and host Christian Fowler and GoTigers247 founder Brooks Hansen discuss the latest in Memphis Tigers basketball and football.
The duo begins by recapping their experience at the Cotton Bowl. Both Fowler and Hansen were in Dallas for the Cotton Bowl, and they discuss the spectacle of the event and how much it meant to the football program.
Next, Fowler and Hansen go back through the football season and recap just how historical it was. The Tigers had 12 wins for the first time ever, won their first outright AAC Championship and went to their first New Year's Six Bowl.
It was a season of firsts for the Memphis football program, and the GT247 duo explains what it all means for the future of the program.
Following the football discussion, Fowler and Hansen move on to basketball. Memphis defeated Tulane by 11 points on Monday night to get their first AAC win of the season, and Fowler and Hansen talk about the Tigers slow start and how they turned it around fairly quickly.
After talking about the game, they break down the state of the team moving forward. With Lester Quinones now back and the team at full strength, Fowler and Hansen take a deep dive on what this team could look like down the stretch.
Finally, the duo gives their top players of the decade for both basketball and football.
