In this episode of Off the Boards, GoTigers247 founder Brooks Hansen breaks down the commitment of JUCO forward Ahmad Rand. The 6-foot-8 forward committed to Memphis on Thursday morning, which made him the Tigers first commitment for 2020.
Although Rand is unranked by 247Sports, he has offers from Georgia, Memphis, Oregon State and Wichita State. Memphis coach Penny Hardaway and the staff offered Rand back on February 24.
Last season at USC Salk, Rand averaged 8.9 points per game, nine rebounds per game, and he led the NJCAA in blocks for the second consecutive season. Rand plays above the rim on both ends of the floor, and he is an elite athlete.
