GoTigers247 lead writer Christian Fowler sits down with Memphis wide receiver Damonte Coxie to discuss the upcoming 2019-2020 season.The two first discuss the upcoming season and what Coxie has worked on to become an even better receiver this year. Last season, Coxie went for over 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns, and he became only the third receiver in school history to go over 1,000 yards.Next, Coxie goes in-depth about his relationship with quarterback Brady White. The Tigers quarterback didn't get on campus until last spring, so the two didn't have a ton of time to gain chemistry.With a full offseason under their belt now, Coxie said the two have grown closer and have a much better feel for each other on the field.The Tigers wide receiver then discusses his unconventional journey to Memphis. Coxie chronicles his meniscus injury in high school, his commitment to LSU and his choice to play for Memphis and take a redshirt.Finally, the two discuss trash talking between wide receivers and defensive backs. Coxie is a very outspoken player, and he admitted that he loves talking trash during games for multiple reasons.
