Memphis interim head coach Ryan Silverfield spoke with GoTigers247 on Tuesday night to discuss becoming interim coach, hitting the recruiting trail and potentially taking over the reigns as the full time head coach.
Silverfield made it obvious in his introductory press conference that he wants the head coaching job, and he and lead writer Christian Fowler discuss what Memphis would look like with him at the helm. Although he has never been a play caller or head coach, Silverfield said he is extremely confident in his abilities if he takes over.
With tons of NFL and collegiate experience, Silverfield said he has learned from people he has coached under how to lead and guide a program. Silverfield the Tigers would look fairly similar, and he named some specifics that would come along with him being the head coach.
Since getting the interim role, Silverfield has received a ton of support from fans and current and former players, and he said that has been extremely honoring for him.
