Description

This week on The WAM Podcast, host, Linda Rigano, is joined by entrepreneurial trailblazer, Allison Grealis. Allison is on a mission to create worldwide awareness for women in all areas of manufacturing. 10 years ago, Allison founded Women in Manufacturing (WiM) which is the only national trade association dedicated to providing support for women with a career in the industry.
Today, WiM has over 3,000 members representing over 1,000 manufacturing companies across every job function. In this episode, we find out how WiM was started and the important needs it addresses in the male-dominated industry culture today. We also hear Allison's view on women in leadership and why training and education, strong peer communities, and encouraging failure are key to building motivated, confident women leaders in the workspace.
Allison also shares the exciting work that WiM is doing to build a community of female professionals who are supported, celebrated, and inspired to move to the next level in their careers.
