A Knight's Tale is a 2001 comedy directed by Brian Helgeland and starring Heath Ledger, Paul Bettany, and Shannyn Sossamon. It's very loosely based on The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, Bettany's character in the film.
