Michelle Montoya sat down with me in the studio recently to chat about music and life. We laughed a lot, shared stories of our pasts and families, and I learned a lot about her path to being the lead singer of Gin Gypsy. A new version of that band is currently in the works and whenever their debut show is schedule, I'll be sure to promote it. This episode weaves through all sorts of topics, but I want to stress that so much of her current musical project is unknown. She knew she wanted to jam with these amazing people (Sonny, Jesse and Miguel) and so that's what they are doing. I love that! I hope that passion to make art without a clear path ahead inspires someone else.
Be sure to listen to the end, you'll be treated to Michelle and Eli covering John Prine's Angel from Montgomery.
