Todd and I first met when he showed up at my studio to record this podcast, but I had seen his film a few years ago and we had communicate through email when he helped me out with a trivia night at the Concrete Theater. We talk about Eric Chauvin and Brian Young in this episode, and I hope that I can also get those two talented folks on the pod some day too. I had a great time chatting with Todd and I think this episode will inspire people to jump into the deep end and hope for the best. I love Todd's outlook on life and his work. His endless energy reminds me of the James Michener quote: "The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both."
Check out his film, The Mountain Runners. As mentioned in the episode, you can stream it a lot of places, it is something showing at a local theater, or you can discover it the way I did... at the Burlington Public Library.
