Description

Today we're going to talk about Gaza's voices and behind the headlines.

And it really is important. I was going to post this later on,
but just seven minutes ago

I got a message on Facebook from my friend Atty Sharaf, who is our guest today, and she said:

"Today our beloved nephew Abdul was killed in Gaza. He was 21 years old. He was crushed by an aid truck while trying to get flour to feed his starving family. Abdul was a savvy young man, smart, resourceful and deeply caring. He he died trying to survive, trying to look after the people he loved. This is what war looks like where even food becomes deadly. Our family is heartbroken. "

So today we have a powerful and emotional exploration of the human cost of conflict in Gaza. And once again, I'm very grateful to Ashraf, who's so willing to share what it's been like for her family.
