About Kyomi O'Connor:
Kyomi is a woman of experience and the author of the multi-award-winning memoir, A Sky of Infinite Blue- A Japanese Immigrant's Search for Home and Self. The book is about her spiritual journey to overcome childhood and intergenerational emotional abuse, and live forward with the grief of her late husband of twenty-six years, Patrick, and enjoy the magic of acceptance to reclaim the wholeness of her Self and life. In 1990, Kyomi moved to the States as a postdoctoral researcher working at the NIH, then became a licensed pediatric dentist in this country where she primarily served in the Indigenous Native American community for many years. She is also an ordained Buddhist dharma teacher, and she practiced the Dharma every day together with Patrick. They were (and she is still) leaders of the spiritual community and guided many people since 1998. She lives in San Diego with two cats, Tommy and Omi, and enjoys contemplative practice, writing, yoga, Taiichi, Qigong, walking, and traveling.
