- It was a particularly busy weekend- what was the 10% that went wrong and what can be learned?
- Volunteering for meals sometimes means buying pre-made! Cooking may not be a good use of your already limited time.
- Getting “in a rush” will almost always escalate the stress. Give yourself enough time and communicate with your kids about timelines. Remember to breathe!
- Ask questions, get information, don’t make assumptions
- Allow yourself a moment for a reset when you get frustrated.
- Remember that your kids might not be able to handle your level of busy. They don’t need to attend all sibling events if they are burnt out.
- Support your spouse! Support your kids! Encourage your kids to support each other!
- Be sure to review your day/week and recognize what you did right, and reflect upon what didn’t go so well and how you could improve.
