"Do the thing you fear to do and keep doing it. That is the quickest and surest ways ever yet discovered to conquer fear." - Dale Carnegie

In today’s episode we will discuss why just because you are afraid to do something does not mean that you should not do it. In fact, I will show why the opposite is the truth. Why the fear you are feeling may be the exact internal compass that you need. We will discuss three specific points of thoughts when it comes to fear.

"What fear does and does not mean. Part of the process" (11:30)

There are a few types of fear that really break down into whether that fear is perceived as physical or emotional. The funny thing is our brains have no idea if the fear we have is real or perceived. No matter though, to get to the other side of where we want to be, we must face that fear head on. There is no getting around it.

"An exceptional guidepost.” (16:50)

Here we talk about why in many instances our fear is pointing us in the direction that we need to go. Keep in mind that our brains are designed to protect us from arm. It is just an evolutionary mechanism that we have. However, that mechanism is limited. It can only do so much.

"Moving through fear is part of the process. (19:50)

We all want to be successful; in what ever field or endeavor. What’s not understood is that champions are champions because they understand the old cliche…Courage is not the absence of fear, but knowing you are afraid and moving forward anyway.

"Next Steps" (27:01)

Get out of your head and into your heart. What am I afraid of? Journal your fears.

We are afraid of the unknown. Get a mentor(s). Get your questions answered.

Expand your mind by focusing on the positive possibilities.

Take immediate massive action
