Description

To say we are dependent is one thing, but to exercise dependence is another thing. The Lord's Pray is showing us and putting us in a posture of exercise dependence. We can say we want to be dependent on God, but it's a whole other thing to actually exercise that dependence. As the Lord's Prayer ends, Jesus prays, "do not lead us into temptation." In this verse, we are reminded that being obedient to Christ and following Christ is not always going to be easy. However, When we follow our Father's lead, it's an opportunity for Him to prove His faithfulness. We are not strong enough to fight the enemy. We are not strong enough to overcome. When we can't do it, we serve a God who already has. We must dependent on Him though. Listen to this sermon in the fifth part of our How To Pray series.
