In Nehemiah 5, It appears that everything is getting knocked out, and the work is getting accomplished. However, the enemy has begun to attack from the outside to hinder God’s people and the work of God. With the outside attacks not working, the enemy moved to the inside. The enemy is attempting to use God’s people against God’s people to create division between each other to disrupt the work of God. Division is beginning to surface between God’s people. Nehemiah was upset that there was division among God’s people, and he knew it was his job to address the sin, the division. They were doing the work of God, but then the decision came among God’s people. Nehemiah called out their sin and the division in love. They repented. They committed to remain faithful to what God had called them to. They overcame the division to become unified, and they began to praise together.
