A Woman Who Fought for Freedom After Slavery

Many of us struggle to allow God’s light to penetrate our hearts. St. Josephine Bakhita, who was sold into slavery as a young child, can show us a model of openness to God’s love, joy, and the freedom He offers, even after great suffering and abuse.

Today’s podcaster is Tammi McCarthy, the first person to utter the words “saints for slackers.” She is back as our podcaster today!

A Little With Great Love contributor & speaker, Tammi has blogged for many years about parenting, homeschooling, marriage, and family on her blog, Chasing Time and Drinking Wine. A hilarious mom of five, she sprinkles humor and sarcasm into many of her Instagram posts and blogs. She lives with her Irish husband of 20 years and kids outside Philadelphia. Tammi recently shifted the focus of her blog to be authentically Catholic as she strives to “fill the banquet table of the Lord.”

Check out her blog, Chasing Time and Drinking Wine, here.
