Last week's podcast episode we talked about "3 Reasons Why Your Business is Not Growing" and one of the reasons was due to lack of efficient working systems. Today, I am showing you how to break down your system and how to create transaction workflows so you can grow your business. Let’s face it, your systems will make or break your business!
Too often people are just “doing” and they never take the time to document their processes. The money is in your SECRET SAUCE! Everyone has a special way they “do” things which allows them to produce results on a higher level than their peers. If you are successful at doing something, break down the process so you can duplicate them. Conducting business by memory is a recipe for disaster!
As you begin to grow your business, you will need to bring on support staff to help you increase your capacity to grow, or maybe you are planning on expanding your team so you will need to train your members on how you would like things done. No matter the reason, you need to be able to replicate your successful processes.
In this episode, we break down the homebuyers process to show you how to create your workflows for a buyer transaction. It can seem tedious at first, but once you get the flow of how to document your process, it becomes so much easier to do. After you create your process, you then need to test it to make sure it is accurate. To test your workflows, simply use it to follow your transactions journey. As you are testing your system, you may need to make edits because you left out a few steps, but this is how you test your process for accuracy and then test it again until it is right.
Your system will be updated and tested often as things change in your business. If you create a new way of doing things, you will need to document that process as well. You will notice, it will become easier to replicate your process once you get comfortable documenting your steps.
