Stephan Harding holds a doctorate in behavioural ecology from the University of Oxford. He is Deep Ecology Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer in Holistic Science at Schumacher College in Dartington, UK, which he helped to found and where coordinated the MSc in Holistic Science for almost 20 years. He is the author of Animate Earth: Science, Intuition and Gaia and editor of Grow Small Think Beautiful: Ideas for a Sustainable Planet from Schumacher College. His most recent book is Gaia Alchemy, published by Bear and Co for release in February 2022.
