"I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 19, 1958. In 1966, my father left the Police force to become a missionary pilot. Our family moved to Chicago, Illinois in what began as a whirlwind tour across the country and through four Latin American countries. Throughout my twelve years of school, I attended thirteen of them in seven different states and three different countries.In 1980 I joined the U.S. Army and in 1981, I married Trena Bass after meeting her in Ecuador. Two kids later, as a family of four, we traveled across America and Europe as a military family. My career spanned seven years as an enlisted soldier, two years completing ROTC, and fifteen years as an officer, retiring as a Major in 2005. I was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1991 and deployed three times to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, the third time as a civilian contractor. I received a Bronze Star in 2004 for actions in Iraq.After I returned from that contract in 2007, I began writing, beginning with a novel PRINCE OF BABYLON with a co-author, followed by my autobiography, STONE IN A SLING: A SOLDIER'S JOURNEY, which was first published in 2011. From 2011 to the present, I have self-published eight more books, all of which are fiction, many of which are based on experience.My goal for the upcoming two years (2020-2021) is to release four more new novels. Of these, one is an apocalyptic story that asks questions about the soul of humanoids, made with high technological human emotions. The world is engulfed with a biological virus outbreak that is wiping out humans and leaving cybernetic humanoids to run the planet.
