Waiting patiently for the right property to get your family out of the city and onto some acreage has it's rewards, but not without it's hard work. Russell saw the city he lived in getting worse and didn't want to raise his family there anymore. So they moved and took over a mostly abandoned homestead, working hard to improve the house and the land.
