Description

When SMBs have employees that they have to recruit, onboard, and manage, it is best practice to have a consistent process and approach to your human capital. If there is inconsistency, SMBs tend to have some employee dysentery. One topic throughout the country that has been very inconsistent, over the last decade is the legalization of medicinal and recreational cannabis, on a state-by-state basis.

My home state of New Jersey recently became the 14th state to legalize recreational cannabis…some folks are celebrating a long-fought battle that has been won, some folks are scared to see what comes next. In the world of SMBs and the management of Human Resources, there have been an inordinate amount of questions raised regarding best practices around a subject that has traditionally been taboo, and is now becoming more mainstream. Who can you speak with for guidance on this increasingly complicated subject?

We are joined by Stephen Trimboli, Founder of TRIMBOLI & PRUSINOWSKI, LLC, a labor and employment law firm which represents businesses, governmental agencies and non-profits regarding their employees. Stephen’s firm has experienced attorneys who support human resources departments and regularly handle day-to-day issues and questions that arise concerning employees...including inquiries around the subject of legal cannabis and the workplace.
