Steven introduces SMB leader Suzanne Taylor-King, Owner & CEO of Taylor'd Coaching & Consulting Agency. Suzanne strives to live life to its fullest, she escaped the scheduled routine of her Dental office work and decided to explore what she was good at. Through exploring her own likes and life desires she found her calling to be coaching. She tells how her passions have led her to work in a profession that she feels good about.
Suzanne talks about how being an entrepreneur is a lonely job and it is hard to start. When she takes on clients she focuses on what they are good at and capitalises on that to help them grow. She tells her origin about going into marketing blind and going through business loss and how that helped her learn and become resilient. Steven defines personal growth is the secret weapon to business success.
Suzanne and Steven talk about how communities and networking is important in meeting other SMB owners and administrators that help and support one another. Suzanne dives into the nitty gritty of the work she had to do to get where she is today. She had to learn how to network and present herself to others for her business to thrive, so she turned to coaching. After an off putting experience with coaching she was inspired to become a coach herself. She explains to be a business coach you have to have experience in owning a business which Suzanne has plenty of.
Suzanne believes in digital detoxing to cleanse individuals minds. She furthers that putting the phone down will help make individuals more predictive. She suggests the digital sunset, this strategy helps make note of how much you reach for your phone it gives your brain the decision on what you are going to do with your time. Steve and Suzanne talk about scheduling and having a calendar because being a SMB owner is a 24 hour job. To be able to separate work and life is important and putting the phone down can help.
