The Nomad’s Burger Recipe
A burger that samples flavors from around the world. We call it The Nomad’s Burger.
The Basics
Kobe Beef
Brioche Bun ( lightly toast just before eating)
Swiss cheese
Boston Lettuce
Miso Butter
1 Tbsp White Miso Paste
1 Tbsp Butter
Kimchi Aioli
1/4 Cup Kimchi (Squeezed)
2 Tbsp Mayo
- Pulse the kimchi in a food processor or mince
- Fold in the Mayo
Caramelized Spanish Onions
1 Small Spanish Onion
Olive Oil
- Drizzle olive oil in pan and heat to medium.
- Slice onions longways (julienne)
- Stir and turn down the temp to medium/low
- Cook about 15 mins, allowing to brown (Careful not to burn it Chef will flip out!)
- A pinch of salt will bring out the sweetness
Tomato Tamarind Chutney
1 Ripe tomato (diced)
1/4 Cup tamarind paste
3 Tbsp brown sugar
3 Cloves
1 Pinch of salt
2 Pinches of crushed black pepper
- Combine in a small saucepan
- Add enough water to go a little less than halfway to the top of the tomatoes
- Bring to a boil
- Once boiling, reduce to a simmer and cook for about 20 mins (or until it starts to thicken up)
- Cook fully before use
