On July 25, 2015, 21-year-old Diamond Bynum and her 2-year-old nephew, King Walker, vanished from Gary, Indiana. Diamond, who lived with Prader-Willi syndrome—a rare genetic disorder affecting appetite, development, and cognition—had the mental capacity of a young child and required constant supervision. That morning, Diamond and King set out for a walk from the home they shared with family members. They never returned.
Despite immediate searches and community efforts, no confirmed sightings of Diamond or King have ever been reported. Was this a case of two vulnerable people simply wandering too far, or did something far more sinister happen in those missing hours?
If you have any information about the disappearance of Diamond Bynum and King Walker, please contact the Gary Police Department at (219) 881-1214 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
