The poem that was read today…

You can miss me with the niceties

It's not really kind you see to say words blindly

There's no need to beat around the bush

So say what you mean, don't hide behind the words so that you can be seen as

One who is nice, good or polite…

The truth is being nice can be contrite, it can slice into authenticity

it interrupts the genuine flow

You go and aim for comfort instead of speaking on what is real, on what you know

Last I heard It’s being real kind that heals...

Souls

Egos

Self esteem

All that and more

What does being nice have in store

Passive aggression

Mixed signals

Facades

Being nice is like beating one's emotions with a rod

Yeah Being kind can be a chore for sure

But that nice stuff leaves more bruises and scars

Being kind takes courage because it's not the intent to please

It's the act of seeing, saying, what is, not simply just what you want it to be…
