If I’m honest, I want to believe that God will heal every person who has enough faith. In my book, “I’ve got the faith, so bring on the healing.” But as I’ve read Scripture, I’ve come to the conclusion that healing these earthly bodies is not something God has promised us. And the more I’ve studied, the less that scares me and the more I see the purpose in it.
Today, I want to share with you what I have learned about praying for something as complicated as healing.

- Psalm 139:14 - I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
- James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
- James 1:2-4 - Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
- Romans 8:6 - For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
- Proverbs 4:23 - Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
- 1 Peter 2:24 - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
- 2 Corinthians 4:17 - For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
- 1 Peter 4:1 - Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
- Isaiah 26:3 - You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
