In this episode, Matt, Steve, and Jessica will rewind to the point in time when they were all divorced but didn’t know each other yet. Matt’s divorce from Ann has just been finalized, and Steve and Jessica had also just gotten divorced, and they were all looking to get into the dating scene. Jessica was the first to start dating and was actually hooked up with a guy she used to work with when she was married to Steve. She went out with him twice, and then dated his roommate twice too before calling it quits with both of them.
She ended up dating several guys off and on from the beginning of when she got divorced until when her and Matt got married. Somewhere along the dating journey, she had gotten very frustrated by dating men who all seemed like they were not serious about committing to a long term relationship because they would disappear for weeks and then reappear with a request for a date.
She eventually got into a very serious relationship with someone, and at one point texted Steve to ask him if he wanted to get back together before she took things to the next level with the guy. Steve responded in the affirmative because he was not ready at all to let Jessica move on and wanted to give their marriage another try. Jessica had to, of course, break things off with the guy she was dating while Steve ended things with Sebastian. It’s quite an awe-inspiring story that will be an eye-opener about the realities of marriage and divorce today, so you won’t wanna miss it.
