Night Book is the occult horror story of a French language interpreter, Loralyn (Julie Dray) who’s working for a Interpreting Agency - having to support her mentally ill father as her husband Pearce (Akie Kotabe) is away, developing a holiday retreat on an ancient island. Loralyn is then contacted by her boss, Cody, who puts her in talks with a former student - and philanthropist Carl Vito (Colin Salmon) possessing a book, the spirits of the mysterious island possess and murder characters close to Loralyn, speaking the devilish language of Kannar. Director Alex Lightman speaks to the Reel Guys about his creative process, how he directed it all during 2020 and what the experience of moving from directing Short films to the FMV Experience.
