Double bass player, arranger, and author Peter Freeman is an Associate Lecturer at the UQ School of Music with ongoing interests in the music of Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, jazz, music technology, and popular music. He has recorded many CD albums for local and interstate artists. He is also active in the preservation of Queensland's jazz heritage, acting as Secretary for the Queensland Jazz Archive Inc. An on-call bass player for many local jazz groups, Peter is also the arranger and coordinator of the Tropical Dance Orchestra and Manager of the UQ BIG BAND.
