Today on Hempresent Vivian is joined by Army veteran Steven Passmore. Passmore is part of an internship for veterans at THC Design in Los Angeles. THC Design is a cannabis grow that focuses on environmentally conscious growing practices in order to reduce their carbon footprint using various methods. It’s estimated that 3 percent of all electricity consumption in California is from indoor grows. In addition to difficulties making ends meet after serving in iraq, Passmore faced another, perhaps graver concern. The former soldier was in severe pain after breaking his clavicle in Iraq, and was prescribed “a bunch of pills”, including opiates, as a solution. Seeking a less addictive remedy for pain, Passmore decided to try medical marijuana
