Segment 1
Sam starts off the show by reading quotes from the Universe and Abraham. He gives his interpretation of the quotes. He talks of how we want things in life; but we need to be reminded of why we actually want the things that we are asking the Universe for. Regarding the quote from Abraham, Sam says the stories that we tell from our life dictates the meaning of our life. The stories are real but the meaning we put to the story is our own creation. He says we can change the meaning of our story; change our perspective. He ends the segment by telling the audience to make an effort to love themselves and keep encouraging themselves. He believes once we change how we feel, we will change the meaning of our stories.
Segment 2
This segment opens with Sam introducing Noemi Grace. She starts speaking on her background spiritually, going back to her first experiences growing up in a religious family, her faith wavering as she got older until an awakening triggered by the attacks on 9/11. She gained a deeper connection to this side of herself, working through fears and anxieties through prayers and mantras. Noemi talks about an epiphany that marked a shift in her awareness in spirituality, and closing it with her practices in daily meditation.
Segment 3
Noemi opens this segment by discussing self-love and how it is out of our comfort zone. She then explains how we can move out of our comfort zone with more ease. She says we need to grow. If we grow, we will end up being more comfortable with more things/risks. Sam then shares a story of how he realized he could get out of his comfort zone by taking small steps. Noemi says even a small thing like having a tough conversation with someone will reap a benefit and get you out of your comfort zone. Both agree that we are much better than what we give ourselves credit for. Noemi ends the segment by discussing how seeing things out of love will help you get out of your comfort zone.
Segment 4
In this final segment, Noemi talks about the motivations behind writing her book and discusses some of the larger themes within the text, expounding upon the idea of self-love beyond narcissistic and self-centered intentions, how we should opt for a more compassionate path in the journey for self acceptance. She discusses forming an awareness of our fearful and judgemental nature and not tearing yourself over these faults. The segment closes with Noemi sharing upcoming installments in her “An Intimate Dialogue…” series.
